How to Review and Manage Duplicate Files

Sky helps you quickly detect and clean up duplicate documents within a case. The De-Duplication feature allows you to compare similar files side by side, confirm duplicates, and remove unnecessary versions — keeping your workspace clean and consistent.

Step 1: Open a Case

Navigate to the Cases page and select the case you want to review for duplicates. Opening the case provides access to all related documents and actions.

Step 2: Launch Sky

Click Launch Sky to open the document workspace. The interface includes the document list on the left, the page viewer in the center, and the tools panel on the right.

Step 3: Open the Duplicates Panel

Click Duplicates at the top of the document list to open the panel showing all possible matches. Sky automatically analyzes and groups documents with similar metadata or content.

Step 4: Compare Documents Side by Side

Browse the list of possible matches and click any pair to compare them side by side. Both documents open in a split view, allowing you to scroll and inspect them simultaneously.

Step 5: Confirm and Remove Duplicates

Once you’ve verified a duplicate, click the trash icon to remove it. The file will be marked for deletion within the duplicate view.

Step 6: Confirm Deletion

In the confirmation dialog, click Delete to finalize the removal. Only the duplicate version is deleted — the original file remains unaffected.

Step 7: Exit Duplicates Mode

When cleanup is complete, click Close to exit the Duplicates panel and return to your standard case view.
