How to Upload Files and Manage Errors

This guide explains how to upload files to Sky and troubleshoot potential issues.

Preparing Files for Upload

Before uploading, ensure your files meet the following criteria:

  • Supported File Types: PDF, DOCX
  • Maximum File Size: 500 MB per file
  • Recommended Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari
  • File Quality: Files should be clear and legible.

Starting the Upload

  1. Click the + Upload link, usually found in the top navigation.
  2. Select files from your computer using the file dialog, or drag and drop files directly into the designated area.
  3. You can select multiple files to upload simultaneously.
  4. A progress bar will display the upload status for each file.

Managing Upload Errors

If an upload fails, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check File Type and Size: Verify that the file type is supported and the file size is within the 100MB limit.
  2. Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  3. Clear Browser Cache: Clearing your browser's cache can resolve some upload issues.
  4. Upload Individually: Try uploading files one at a time to isolate potential problems.

Resuming Interrupted Uploads

  • If a Resume button is available, use it to attempt to continue the interrupted upload.
  • If resuming fails, start a fresh upload of the file.
  • To prevent interruptions, keep the browser tab open during the upload process.
